Currently we are assisting women who are survivors of rape. We accompany them to court and we also try to get medical care for them (the nearest clinic can be 25 km away). We have an urgent need for funds to buy sanitary pads for rape survivors. We have a waiting list of 2,645 women who need them. The closest place we can buy sanitary pads is Nairobi, Kenya. Please, we need your generous donations to help survivors.

Groupe d’Action pour le Droit (GAD) is an NGO in the Democratic Republic of Congo whose mission is to promote and protect human rights.

Our main objectives:
- Promotion of public health;
- Education on peace and cultural integrity;

- Developing income-generating activities and micro-loans.
We are trying to achieve these objectives by:
- Educating the public about their rights to housing, to health, to education and to the environment;
- Giving speeches for the defense of the rights of vulnerable people notably children, women, displaced persons, refugees & prisoners, disabled persons and sick persons;
- Educating people on democracy, on peace, on cultural integrity and on peaceful cohabitation;
- Promoting gender equailty and fighting against all forms of discrimination;
- Promoting the fight against pornographic culture;
- Promoting the fight against priority illnesses: sexually transmitted infections, HIV-AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis and malnutrition;
- Combating all forms of violence against vulnerable people;
- Promoting actions of fighting against poverty.
GAD is open to anyone who is ready to commit to the values GAD defends.
The resources of GAD come from members’ contributions, from public and private grants, from self-financing on small income-generating projects, and from donations and legacies.
